Details:
  • Participants should be residents of India and should be over 18 years of age. 
  • Participation in the Contest will be construed as acceptance of the terms and conditions and other details in respect of the Contest that may be periodically uploaded and or updated on the website.
  • Participants may participate individually or may form teams consisting of up to three (3) persons. However, Participants cannot participate in more than one team.
  • Participants should ensure that they adhere to the timelines that are specified on the website.
  • Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are aware of any updates that may be periodically uploaded by Intel.
  • Participants may submit only one application in each category.
  • The Contest will be conducted in two phases:

Phase 1

  • Participants should register on the website and upload abstracts of the applications as per the timelines that are specified in the website.
  • The Evaluation Committee formed by Intel will evaluate and shortlist applications for Phase 2

Phase 2

  • Short listed Participants will be required to submit complete proposals of the short listed abstracts.
  • Participants short listed will have to develop prototypes using the Intel “atom kit” that will be provided by Intel. 
  • Participants will have to submit prototypes as may be applicable, for final evaluation by the Evaluation Committee.
  • The grand prize winner of the Contest will have to further develop the prototype or proof of concept, as per mutually agreed milestones. 
  • Applications which are incomplete, offensive, unsuitable for use and or violative of any statutory or regulatory provisions are liable to be rejected at the sole and absolute discretion of Intel and or the Evaluation Committee.
  • Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format and template.
  • Intel may designate mentors to assist short listed Participants. The mode of communication between the mentors and Participants will be determined on the basis of mutual understanding and could be either via emails or phone calls. 
  • Intel may request TEPP and TIDE to consider giving technology incubation support to short listed teams. However, any such technology incubation support will be at the sole discretion of TEPP and TIDE. 
  • Intel may extend mentoring support to the winner for further development of the winning application.
  • Intel may sponsor the travel and accommodation of Participants short listed for final evaluation, who will have to travel to Bangalore. Details of the same will be communicated to the short listed Participants.
  •  The decision of Intel and or the Evaluation Committee will be final and binding on the Participants.
  • Intel may refuse to give prizes or reclaim all prizes awarded to the winners in the Contest if any fraud, dishonesty or non-entitlement to participate in the Contest under this rules, come to light.

Phase 3

  • The selected finalists of the contest will receive Intel Atom® kit and mentoring support for prototyping their project.
  • After the development of the prototype, the final face to face evaluation and showcase of the projects will be held for all finalists.
  • The jury panel will consist of eminent personalities from academia, industry and government.
  • The award ceremony will be held after the final face to face evaluation and showcase of the projects.
